Welcome Again?

I recently got an email asking me if I wanted to put my blog on this site (not this blog, a different blog). It looks like they're scouring for interesting-sounding, intellectual, cultured people, or something like that, so I don't know that they actually want me in particular (...not saying I'm not smart or cultured, but my blog certainly didn't reflect that). It looks like I could sign up anyways, though. I'm not sure whether I will, but either way I think I may start using this blog to actually blog (whopee-doo! It has purpose now!) . In which case pictures will be occasional and there goes my idea of showing this to my friends. :P Well, I don't know, maybe I will. I can't as yet make a claim to any particular theme. This is all I can guarantee the reader:

Yo. My name's Mynta. I'm a Christian, and I am Canadian. (Woot!) Anything and everything I write here will be genuine, sincere, and honest. And occasionally witty (or at least weird - take your pick. Hopefully at least eccentric. Normal is hideously boring. Never trust normal people. They must be hiding something.) ... ... ... I can also guarantee tangents. :D I can also give you 100% certainty I don't know what my life will be like, so I can't say "Diary of an Artiste", or "Diary of an Evangelist" or anything like that. I don't even know what I'm doing this summer. I hope I know what I'm doing next September... Anyways, expect random thoughts and expect (attempted) deep thoughts. And expect them both in the same sentence.

I will also try not to edit this so I sound good (although I WILL fix typos). I must remind myself "This is a blog. Not a debate, opinion paper or essay. It does not NEED to wrap up and begin nicely. I also do not need to sound smart or collected. Paragraphs come out however they come out."

Okay, I guess that's good for a start. POST!

The Knight and... the Dragon?

Imagine a town in carnage. The sheep have been killed, their livelihoods are at stake. They need a hero. Rising to the occasion is the town blacksmith, who is chosen to climb the mountain to the creature's cave, and vanquish whatever manner of villany is found within. He climbs for two days and nights, finally arriving on a misty dawn at the entrance to a yawning cave, spanning twice as high and twice as broad as his shop. An otherworldly groan emanates from the unknown depths. Gathering his courage, he steps inside. Bones are piled around, each at least as wide as a man's arm. As he watches, one of the bones shifts. Something is emerging. He lifts his sword, prepared to fight to the death to save his beloved town from the evil dragon when... a tiny head pops out and makes an amiable, high-pitched feminine squeak. The little gal scampers over and sits at his feet, staring sweetly into his eyes and wagging her tail. *blink blink* I love you! :D

Don't worry. Not all the stories me and my brothers make up go like this. Most are far weirder.

Welcome

Greetings. My name is Mynta, and I am a Canadian and a Christian. Just thought I'd say that, because I have no clue who will be looking at this. I recently felt that I should perhaps start posting some of my stuff online, get constructive criticism, etc. And it'll be easier to show things to my friends, rather than having to carry around 32 sketchbooks will 4 drawings in each one. :) The vast majority of this stuff will be from class, but I may get other things in there too that I do in my spare time. It will also make it easier to see myself getting better, which is always nice. I don't know how much I'm going to stick into this, or how long I'm going to keep it, but let's see what happens, shall we?
